Six-year-old Aileen Akinyi, a class one pupil at Hawi Group of Schools in Seme has already won several tittles at her tender age, thanks to her love and skills in modelling.

She is currently the first runners up in Mini Miss World Kenya (2018) and won the Tinny Miss Kisumu County of 2017, and was also the first runners up in Tinny Princess Kenya in 2017.

Thanks to her talent, Aileen will be travelling to Japan and Spain later in the year to represent the nation in this year's Miss Tinny competition.

Stella Otieno, Aileen's mother says  her talent was discovered in 2017, when she impressed the judges at a particular event.

"She left guests in stitches with her catwalk. Many were impressed. She keeps asking me if she will be travelling but I lack answers,” she told the Standard.

However, the mother has now raised alarm that the pending trips could hit the wall as a result of financial constrains, with about Sh1 million needs for the travel and accommodation costs.

“It would be disappointing for our daughter to fail to represent Kenya again because of financial constraints. She keeps asking me if she will be travelling but I lack answers,” she said.

Aileen is as well a top performer in class and a role model to fellow children, some even older.

Her home is only a kilometer away from Lupita's home.
