"Constitutionally a deputy President can vie for president despite having served for two terms as deputy, "the Narc-Kenya party leader posted on Twitter.

Pundits later argued that she is suggesting to be in support of DP Ruto candidature come 2022, which she totally differed with.

Speaking during an interview with former deputy speaker of parliament Farah Maalim in the show dubbed speakers gallery, after she was asked to make a choice between Ruto and Raila, Karua cleared the air.

"I would obviously support Raila...I consider Ruto totally unsuitable and I have my own reasons and that's my opinion " she replied.

"Raila is a person who has worked for this country,  a person we have worked together,  nobody is perfect but if you give me the two,  I wouldn't even have to think, I will choose Raila, " she added.

The former presidential candidate also said that at the age of 61, she is not yet done politically insisting she can still either run for the presidency or for the governorship of Kirinyaga a decision she is yet to make.

As far as the referendum is concerned,  she does not think parliamentary system is good for the country however she maintained if Kenyans decided that's the way she will have no problem.
