Kibra Constituency is witnessing massive change from improved road network, access to modern education, availability of electricity to accessing government services.

The constituency is one of the beneficiaries of National Youth Service (NYS) project that was initiated under the Ministry of Devolution that was headed by Ann Waiguru. 

The project included building of modern ablution facilities, daily community clean-ups and garbage collection that created employment to over 4,000 youth and improved drainage system among many.

One project that stood out was the construction of Huduma Centre that is located at the Deputy County Commissioner's compound popularly known as DC. 

Huduma Centre Kibra has enabled Kibra residents access government services within a short distance, time and easily. 

Key among the services is the birth certificate, renewal of identity card, registration for National Health Insurance Fund, National Social Security Fund, certificate of good conduct, registration of welfare groups among others.

Some years back, Kibra residents were forced to travel all the way to City centre among other places to access the above vital services. Huduma Centre has changed the face of Kibra since its inception. 

The facility has also created employment opportunities to some residents from Kibra. 

One beneficiary of the service stated that this was the best gift to Kibra residents and that he looks forward to additional of more services like registration of business names and companies.
