This is after Raila questioned Ruto's source of money in fundraisers.

Speaking on KBC English Service on Wednesday, Weda termed Raila as a stingy man, hence his discomfort when others are generously giving.

''Myself and Raila come from the same region and he is not known for monetary generosity. He is a very stingy man and is not known to perform or give any monetary support in harambees,'' said Weda.

On the other hand, the commentator who also doubles up as a High Court Advocate hailed Ruto's generosity, linking it to his political growth beside retired President Daniel Moi who was also known for his ready willingness to give.

''Ruto was brought up in a generous environment by retired President Moi who was also popular for giving and is one of the reasons why he seems to be giving a lot to people and projects,'' he added.

Ruto has since defended himself against Odinga's claims, saying that he is investing in heaven.
