There will be another swearing-in event today, a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta took the oath of office.

Richard Onyonka will today be sworn in as the new MP for Kitutu Chache South constituency.

This follows his election in a poll conducted on November 7 by the IEBC.

Speaking to the Daily Nation, Onyonka, who was elected on FORD Kenya ticket, said he was ready for the big event.

"I am ready to be sworn in as a Member of Parliament and start delivering what I promised my constituents," he said.

The ceremony will be conducted at the Parliament Buildings in Nairobi.
