Arati speaking on Friday at Mosocho area in Kitutu Chache South, Kisii County during the burial of Professor Tumbo Oeri said the Gusii community has always supported Raila in his ambition to become President.

“The Gusii community has stood by Raila in all the attempts he has made to seek the country’s top seat. We are therefore, requesting him as a community to remember us and help in pushing the Jubilee government to initiate development projects in the Gusii region to boost the lives of our people,” said Arati.

The vocal MP said Gusii people will not betray Raila by supporting a different political outfit apart from opposition where Raila is the leader.

Arati challenged Gusii leaders to speak in one voice so that development projects can be initiated in the region.

“Political leaders should have one voice to help especially when negotiating for development projects. Divisions among leaders will derail development in the two Gusii counties,” added the ODM MP.
