It is as well home to great leaders, some of whom stand out among their peers on matters leadership.

Here are some of of the most celebrated elected political leaders from the wider Nakuru county.

1. David Gikaria

The Nakuru Town East Member of Parliament is one of the most vocal leaders in the county.

Also known as T.M (Team Manager), thanks to his great love for soccer, the second-term lawmaker has made a name for himself among the youth, most of whom he has helped nurture their talents, especially in the games sector.

His controversial nature has also played a big role in his popularity and was known to be a strong critic of the former Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua, with whom they were always on the opposing sides..

2. Susan Kihika

The youthful Senator, despite not being an old player in the Nakuru political scene, has also managed to secure herself a spot in the list of most known elected leaders from Nakuru.

Her young age has made her popular among the young generation with the older people identifying with her father, the late Kihika Kimani, a former representative of Subukia and Molo constituencies, both within the county.

3. Lee Kinyanjui

The Nakuru county boss, despite not being the vocal type, has been in the leadership game for long enough to capture attention.

He was the Nakuru town MP between 2007 and 2013, before later being nominated to lead the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) under President Uhuru Kenyatta's regime.

He won the gubernatorial post in the concluded general elections, flooring Mbugua, before cruising to the top post.
