Police officers in Borabu are pursuing armed robbers who reportedly vandalised St Alloys Catholic Church in Mwongori on Monday, and subsequently stealing equiptment valued at Sh100,000.
Mwongori assistant chief David Ogega confirmed the incident adding that the thugs descended on the building in morning hours.
“The thieves broke into the church and stole two Pianos, four microphones and drums for the choir," he said.
He urged locals to provide information to the police, insisting that the gang had been giving locals sleepless nights.
“Residents with information about the criminals are advised to report to police to help in the ongoing investigations," he added.
Church followers condemned the incident and urged police to speed up investigations to nab the suspects.
