The flood affected residents made an unexpected plea to the government.

The victims who are in Karachi, have made yet another plea to be supplied with more condoms.

According to Linet Kahindi, one of the flood victims in the camp, more condoms are needed as the camp consists of people whose HIV status is not known.

She said, “Even while they are facing this tragedy, intimacy is still part of their lives and though they were suffering, it took her courage to rescue them. I was impressed she did not mind being stereotyped or discrimination. She spoke her mind and now residents can have safe sex.”

Kahindi is a mother of four children, she is the wife of a local chief and also she is the Condoms’ Ambassador, a post she was given during this year’s International Mother’s Day.

She has been training which she passes on to other locals in the camp about the use and how to dispose of condoms.

The female locals in the camp are praising Mrs Kahindi for showing them for the first time how the female condoms look like and how they are used.
