Controversial Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has just announced himself as the winner of the vote recount exercise that was requested for by the High court after the petition by his rival Jubilee's Mr Francis Mureithi.

Controversy has however surrounded the exercise with both camps declaring parallel results as the exercise was progressing.
Mureithi in his application made the case that the illegibility and discrepancies on the result forms made it difficult to ascertain what the true results were.
However, Kenyans are yet to hear from the High court and the IEBC after the Babu Owino declaration.
