Three bar attendants were beaten by their boss on Wednesday morning for stealing Sh 10,000 from their boss.

This happened in the outskirts of Kisii town. 

It is alleged that the three identified as Jeniffer, Brenda and Achieng  fond of stealing money from their sales until their boss decided to lay a trap.

"I counted all the money at the counter before I went to the toilet only to come back and find sh 10,000 missing," he said.

The boss tried to ask them who had stolen the money and when they failed to answer him, he alerted his brother who joined him in the bar. 

That is when they started beating them until they confessed to have taken themoney and shared amongst themselves. 

The bar owner said that he has been making losses since he hired the three ladies three months ago. 

"Despite me paying them Sh 6,500 a month, I also gave them free accomodation and breakfast but they still opted to steal from me," he said. 

Area Nyumba kumi official Mr Lazarus Kaka who rescued the girls asked locals not to take action into their own hands but instead report their concern to the police. 

"I also ask business owners to work with people they trust inorder to address such problems," said Mr Kaka.
