Renowned NASA strategist and Raila Odinga's chief adviser Professor Oeri Tumbo has died over suspected heart attack.
At a local WhatsApp group, Kisii County Forum on Wednesday, his nephew, Richard Onyonka, who serves as Kitutu Chache South MP, confirmed the sudden death.
"It is with deep sorrow I pronounce the death of my uncle, mentor, and top political adviser Prof Oeri Tumbo," Onyonka said in a brief statement.
He added: "Until his death, he has been a loyal NASA supporter and chief strategist. He will be missed dearly."
Throughout NASA campaigns last year, Tumbo served along with David Ndii, Norman Magaya among other top strategists.
He would also appear at the KTN News as a panelist where his support for the ODM leader and his strategies would be broadly discussed.
Academically, he served as University of Nairobi, Chiromo Campus principal between 1997 and 2002.
