Bomariba residents led by Philip Nyakoyo on Monday threatened to force the local administrator out of office for being at the forefront signing for people to sell their land.

“We can’t sit and watch the future of young people being spoilt by the so-called chief who has failed to stop young people who have no identification cards to sell their land to foreigners. We want an urgent public baraza held in the sub location not later than Monday next week so that we can discuss the serious offenses the chief has been committing in the dark,” said Nyakoyo.

Jared Ong’uti another resident claimed that the chief has put his stomach first instead of serving people as required by law.

Ong’uti said area elders will curse the chief for failing to involve them in decision making.

“We are not satisfied with the fake decisions Ayuma has been making since he took over as the area assistant chief. Elders will curse him because he has been defending criminals allowing impunity in the region,” said Ong’uti.

However, reached for a comment Ayuma denied the claims saying he has not allowed anyone to sell his or her land.

He said he is ready for a public baraza to be held in the area for the claims against him to be heard and solved for good.
