After five days of detention, Miguna was deported by Kenyan government on grounds that he had renounced his citizenship.

"We started investigations and found he was not a Kenyan citizen. My officers arrested him and threw him out of the country," said Godfrey Kihalangwa.

The government has since launched a fierce manhunt on politicians who are believed to have pushed for Raila Odinga's inauguration as people's president.

But in a defiant video message, Miguna insists that NRM will continue with its activities across the country despite government ban.

"This is the NRM Kenya General speaking from Toronto. This is a message to all our members demonstrating against the two despots," he said.

Miguna added: "We shall continue with the struggle against the two despots. We must win and surrender is not an option. We don't have a reverse gear."

With his citizenship now raising issues, Miguna says, he shall challenge the unlawful confiscation of his passports through courts.
