Alshabaab Militants. [Photo/nation.co.ke]The County Commissioner of Lamu, Gilbert Kitiyo, has revealed what happened during an Alshabaab attack.''Today there was an incident at Ishakani but we cannot describe it as an attack because this were five people who walked into a village and asked the villagers to converge at a certain point. They gave them a lecture. We were informed of the incident and the military started to move but these people retreated when they became aware that the military was on their case,'' Commissioner Kitiyo told a local media organisation in a telephone interview.Gilbert Kitiyo also took the opportunity to assure Lamu residents that the law enforcement agencies were on top of matters and there was no need for them to be anxious. He said that the numbers of security officers would be increased, saying that they were ready for any eventuality.
