Kisii County Government is planning to relocate all street urchins to Manga Remand Home.

Speaking in Kisii town, Kisii County minister for sports Duke Mainga said that the 500 street urchins will be moved in two phases. 

According to him, the first phase will kick off as from next month and end in August. 

"All the atreet kids will be taken to Manga Remand Home and even start learning, they really have a lot of potential," he said. 

Mr Mainga said that the street chilfren hailed from Nyamira, Migori, Narok, Homabay and Kisii counties. 

He also asked parents to ensure that their kids don't drop out of school.

"The government is offering free primary and secondary education, parents should ensure that their kids get educated," he said.
