He said that as an individual, he has the right to air his personal opinion, which may not resonate with ODM leader Raila Odinga and the people around him.

Speaking on phone, Arama said that a number of people, especially from the Nyanza region where ODM is very popular, are warning him to refrain from attacking the former prime minister.

The lawmaker said it was wrong for the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) luminaries to ‘push Kenyan towards war instead of engaging in dialogue’.

“If Raila had become president, wouldn’t we all have been supporting his government to implement their agenda?” he posed.

He added: “I call upon the people to support the Jubilee government as it is the legitimate office-bearer. Uhuru is doing the right thing in Lamu and I call upon people from Kisumu to refrain from engaging in Nakuru politics, most of whom are Jubilee supporters including myself.

“We must support Jubilee in their whole manifesto. Those attacking me are ODM losers and idlers”.
