NASA principals at past. [Photo|Nasa coalition]After a lengthy meeting that lasted for five-hours, the four principals of the NASA coalition on Monday reached a decision to retain the current parliamentary committee leadership.Principals Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper Democratic Movement), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), and Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya) held the closed door meeting at the Cold Springs in Karen, Nairobi, despite earlier plans that it should have been held at Capitol Hill Offices. Each principal is said to have met each other separately prior to the crucial meeting to agree on the agenda and stand.Sources said Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya expressed disappointment over the manner in which ODM had taken all the parliamentary slots, hence the alleged dissatisfaction of the Odinga swearing in slated for January 30.It is alleged Musyoka and Wetangula are not in support of the plans on grounds that ODM shortchanged them in parliament.Odinga is however afraid that if the swearing in is postponed again after it was postponed on December 12, he would likely lose his supporters' trust.Sources said the leaders failed to agree on crucial issues and once again would meet on Tuesday for additional talks. The principals also reportedly agreed that they should dialogue with the ruling President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party over electoral injustices and the need to expand the Executive after Constitutional amendment.
