Led by their President Kenneth Wollack, the NDI delegation paid the opposition's NASA coalition leader a courtesy call at his office on Thursday.

They discussed Odinga and Uhuru's proposed national dialogue initiative which Wollack lauded and described as "a dramatic positive move that took great courage".

Odinga assured them of his commitment to see the process through for the sake of the people.

The meeting follows Wednesday's meeting between Odinga and the US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec who also paid him a courtesy call at his office.

Odinga and the envoy discussed the national reconciliation initiative and "how there can be no progress without justice."

The US pledged to support Kenya as its leaders proceed with the task of righting the wrongs that have ailed the nation for too long.
