Tanzanian Bongo star Diamond Platinumz has announced that he is yet to quit his musical career for business.

Diamond whose life has been full of drama disclosed that he will be leaving the musical field to elevate his already existing business empire and venture into more and more businesses. 

He said he is currently active in music so that he can accumulate enough capital that will enable him run the business empire easily without money shortage as he nurtures upcoming artists. 

Diamond who came into limelight in 2009 with his 'Kamwambie' hit single was addressing a group of Muslim entertainment stakeholders at his Wasafi headquarters in Dar es salaam for Futuri meal. 

“My dream is to eventually go fully into business when I quit music. You can’t do music forever, that’s why I’m using my earnings in music to build my businesses. Let’s use the opportunities we have in use to build a better future,” Diamond said as quoted by Nation News. 

He also launched an Islamic TV show dubbed 'Nyumba ya Imani' which is set to debut on Wasafi TV. The show is meant to educate Muslims during the Holy month of Ramadan. 

In his Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB), a recording label he has signed well performing artists like Harmonize, Rayvanny, Maromboso, Queen Darling, Rich Mavoko and Lava Lava.

Other businesses he owns are Nogewa Jirambe which is a peanut company, and Chibu Perfumes.
