Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has stated that he has been tasked with being the handshake ambassador. Speaking during his visit in Homa Bay, Kuria said that he had been handed that mandate by the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga.

During his visit he addressed a group of NASA supporters arguing that the handshake was for national importance. He said, “When I met Raila at his office last week, we discussed a lot about uniting Kenyans. He asked me to help preach unity across the country and I agreed."

Kuria who insisted that the handshake was meant to bring peace not only at the national level but also between people living in deep areas in the country. In order to make the handshake have sense, Kuria said that it was good if they started the peace movement among the NASA and Jubilee strongholds.

Kuria who travelled alone from the Mt. Kenya region was received well by the Homa Bay MP Lilian Gogo and the Homa Bay Women Rep Gladys Wanga.

To have Wanga receive Kuria was a clear indication that the handshake in taking roots among both the Jubilee and the NASA legislators.
