An opposition MP has said he can't be part of those evicting school principals from his constituency.

Kisumu Central MP Fred Ouda said head teachers transferred to schools in his constituency will be allowed to serve but must promise to work for the schools to record good results.

Ouda speaking in his office on Friday when he was disbursing school fees cheques to over 20 students he is sponsoring, urged constituents to stop pushing for the removal of teachers TSC transferred to the schools.

“Let us give the teachers transferred to schools in the constituency to work as directed by TSC and ministry of education. But, the schools' heads must ensure their schools record good results in final exams,” he said.

He said any principal who will not work will not be given room to serve in any of the school in his constituency.

“Any principal whose school will record poor performance in national exams will not be condoned. Teachers have to work to achieve better grades,” he added.

He asked TSC to transfer teachers who have overstayed in one school to boost performance.

The lawmaker stated that teachers should ensure they cover the whole syllabus before the learners are tested in national exams.*Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Kisumu County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
