A week after encroaching Raila Odinga's traditional coast stronghold, Deputy President William Ruto has yet again embarked on a silent mission to reach out NASA rebels.

In the coast, Ruto was endorsed by NASA luminaries among them Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa even as ODM party disowned the move.

"The MPs who endorsed William Ruto did so on their own. The ODM party is not interested in 2022 debate because we are focusing on reconciliation," read a statement from the party.

For months now, the DP has diverted his focus in Western, Coast and Gusii region, areas which have traditionally backed Raila.

Vocal MPs Richard Onyonka (Kitutu Chache South) and Sylvanus Osoro (South Mugirango) on Thursday met the DP, a day after Onyonka warned Odinga of 'mistreatment' against NASA affiliates.

"I want to remind Raila that he cannot beat Jubilee on his own. A house that is divided will always not stand. He must address the dictatorship from ODM," he had said.

Both Onyonka and Osoro waged anti-swearing in campaigns leading to onslaught from among NASA supporters who accused them of betrayal.

Although details of the meeting among the trio remains scanty, Onyonka had however pledged to work with Ruto before.
