There was a drama on Tuesday at Lolwe estate in Kisumu after the owner of a butchery punished his employees.
The butchery boss at Lolwe gate violently stroked his employees claiming they had been messing with his business.
According to him, his profits have been declining over the time with no proper explanation given.
The two employees were publicly slapped, and stroked one after another, bringing the busy road to a standstill.
Speaking to a Hivisasa writer, one of the employees noted that they were forced to take the shame from their boss because they needed the job to keep up their families.
“He embarrasses us so much. Sometimes he slaps us in public. We go through all these with courage. What can we do about it? All we want is a job,”the employee said.
It took the efforts of the public who booed the butchery owner before he stopped his cruelty.
“You cannot keep on stroking your employees in public as if they are your children,” one of the residents opined.
According to nearby shop owners, the butchery owner has been canning his employees even in the past.
