There was drama during a church service at Lela on Tuesday evening after a man attacked the pastor during service demanding that his questions be answered.
The man popularly known as Renato bumped into the crusade while the pastor was preaching and interrupted the whole service.
The pastor tried to contain the situation by accepting to respond to him calmly, but the man repeatedly asked his questions giving no room for response.
“Why do you want us to give offerings while you don’t?” asked the man repeatedly in Luo language.
The residents claim that the man sometimes suffers from a periodical mental illness.
According to Miriam Nyago, a resident in Lela, Renato is a goodman but sometimes he becomes unruly especially if he suffers from the illness.
“His illness attacks him at times though mostly he is okay,” said Miriam.
A section of the congregation tried to plead with him to give space for the service, but he was too violent to listen to anyone.
It forced the man of God to use force to get him away before they continued with the service.
