Elders have warned opposition leader Raila Odinga against plans to be sworn in on January 31.

Masaai Council of Elders dared Raila to take his swearing in ceremony to Kiajiado County, vowing they would 'discipline' him.

"We are telling the opposition leader that if he is serious with his threats to come to Kajiado and dare take oath. He will see fire as he will get heavy canning," said Joshua Polong, the Vice Chairman of the council.

He told the former Prime Minister to stop issuing ultimatums to President Uhuru Kenyatta and give him space to complete his second and last term in peace so as to deliver on his manifesto.

"Raila, who lost to President Uhuru, should accept defeat and move on. We advise him to allow Jubilee administration to concentrate on its  'Big Four' agenda as they have planned," Polong said, speaking during elders'meeting in Kajiado Town on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Raila with his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka and other NASA principals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang'ula have agreed to push on with the planned swearing in of opposition leaders by the end of this month, if the President does not invite them for dialogue.
