ODM leader Raila Odinga's rivalry with DP William Ruto will be reignited in late July as the two prepare for Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama's son's burial.

Ndemo Nyagarama, 44, died last Monday following a long battle with acute meningitis at Nairobi Hospital.

A source privy to the burial arrangement said the committee has set July 20th for burial and both Raila and Ruto are expected to grace the occasion.

"It is now official that the governor will fly back on June 25th from the US and the burial will be on July 25th.

"Both Raila and Ruto have confirmed attendance. The ODM party specifically has been very supportive," said the source who spoke in confidence.

For over a month now, Nyagarama has been in the US where he has been undergoing treatment for suspected failing limbs.

While Raila may only be interested in condoling with the family, Ruto has however not hidden his zeal to secure support from the Gusii community and he may use the occasion to raid the region that has traditionally supported Raila.
