Deputy President William Ruto's raids at ODM strongholds have reportedly scared former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, a source within Orange House has intimated.
And to cure the uncertainty within the Orange party, Raila has reportedly summoned NEC and PG where he is also expected to discuss his future.
"In recent weeks, Ruto has received major backing including in the vast coast region something that has made Raila worried.
"The open declaration by Amason Kingi has even worsened the situation. We shall have a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the matter," said the source.
Besides coast, a host of Gusii and Western region leaders have declared their support for Ruto with Raila insisting that he may not contest in 2022.
Party treasurer Timothy Bosire says many members are yet to come to terms following the unexpected handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta, something that the party plans to fix.
"For those who misunderstand the handshake, the ODM leadership has programmes that will see the party go to next elections stronger than ever," he said.
A part from Kingi, vocal Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa, a staunch supporter of ODM, has also joined forces with the DP.
