Family wrangles involving on the controversial marriage of Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama's son, Ndemo Nyagarama are said to have prolonged his burial date, a source has revealed.
Tentatively, the family has set July 20th as the date for burial even as the ODM governor still remains indisposed in the US.
According to the source, Mr. Ndemo's first wife, who was also legally married, has demanded to be included in the burial programme.
"He had to be delayed for quite a number of reasons. You all know that the father is still sick and admitted in the US.
"But more importantly, his first wife, whom he had separated with wants to be involved in the burial. She resides in Canada," said the source.
Last week, the 44-year-old succumbed to acute meningitis which is said to have prompted cardiac arrest.
Family sources also say that the governor, who has been undergoing treatment in the US, is set to jet back on Monday.
