Mutua who took to his Facebook page on Saturday noted that while he was at the Moi International Airport, Mombasa early Saturday morning alongside a group of tourists, the airport had switched to Citizen TV station which was at that time airing a Nigerian movie.

The KFCB boss wondered why a Kenyan airport was promoting the non-local content  instead of showing local content.

He noted that that was a wasted opportunity to market Kenya and to promote it's own films.

"At the Moi International Airport - Mombasa at 3am with a group of tourists watching Citizen TV. They are airing a Naija movie and the tourists are so keenly following and animatedly discussing the same. Now this is a Kenyan airport. We are watching a Kenyan Tv channel showing a Nigerian movie as if we do not have local content. What a wasted opportunity to market our country and to promote our own films," posted Mutua.

"The airport authorities should switch off this thing and play a documentary or anything about Kenya!" he added.
