1. Paradise Lost (Kiambu Road)

It is an iconic picnic site harboring serene grounds, caves to explore, boat rides enchanting waterfall, ancient trees to marvel at and getting to spot some rare bird species. The entrance fee is Sh300 for adults and Sh250 for kids.

2. David Shedrick's Elephants Orphanage (Magadi Road)

It hosts elephant calves orphaned by poaching from all over the country, getting to take care of these fragile giants 24/7 till they are released later to sanctuaries. Visitors get to see them being fed, every day from 11.00am for a standard contribution of Sh500 per person.

3. Lake Nakuru National Park (Nakuru)

This is home to the flamingo and the Rothschild giraffe. There are other animals too in the park: buffaloes, rhinos, lions, monkeys,  et al. Entrance fee to the park is Sh500 for adults and Sh250 for kids.

4. National Museums of Kenya (Nairobi)

There is a snake park in the vicinity too and it the place to visit if you want to know the culture and history of Kenya. Entrance fee is Kshs 300 for adults and Sh150 for kids. There is an extra charge to enter the snake park.

5. Dunga Beach (Kisumu)

The beach has a breathtaking view of a large expanse of Lake Victoria, distant Homa Hills and fishermen offloading their cargo.
