Former Kisumu County governor candidate Christine Atieno Otieno has urged National Super Alliance – NASA leaders and supporters in Nyanza and across the country to accept the fact that the election calendar is now over and move on.

Speaking in Kisumu on Monday, Atieno Otieno said the calendar of politics is now over, and Kenyans should now unite hands in nation building.

Otieno who vied for governor in the August 8th general elections on a Jubilee party ticket and lost to governor Peter Anyang Nyong’o, said that the 2017 elections calendar ended the day President Uhuru Kenyatta was sworn in for a second term.

“Let us hold or hands together and move our country forward,” she said.

She urged women to take responsibility of uniting Kenyans due to divisions that arose following the 2017 elections.

“When a child is killed on the road, it is the mother who feels the most pain. Women should call each other and talk. Let us move together peacefully, because peace will surpass everything,” she added.
