In a political wave witnessed a across the county, big political names were  floored mostly by new comer politicians.

Others were kicked out of their seats for disobeying and betraying their "political masters".

In Ukambani, several politician's who were  once Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s close allies were wiped out.

In the run up to to the 2017  general election, several of Kalonzo’s allies abandoned him and joined other parties.

The rebels were, however, kicked out and are now suffering in political cold.

Here are the politician's who were once Kalonzo’s friends but suffering in political cold:

1.  David Musila:

He was the first Kitui senator elected in 2013's general election on Wiper party ticket.

Musila was also the Wiper party's national chairman.

He, however, fell out with Kalonzo in the run up to last year’s general election after the Wiper party failed to endorse him for the Kitui gubernatorial seat.

Musila wanted a direct nomination for the seat that former Kitui Governor Julius Malombe was defending.

He ditched Wiper after Malombe won the nomination to fly the party's ticket.

Musila accused Kalonzo of allegedly favoring Malombe for the seat.

Malombe went on to lose the seat to Governor Charity Ngilu

2. Joe Mutambo

The former Mwingi Central MP also ditched Wiper and joined Jubilee party.

Mutambo attacked Kalonzo’s party,  claiming it was full of betrayers.

He claimed that Kalonzo was surrounded by people who were hungry for power and who will eventually destroy his career.

Mutambo contested for re-election on Jubilee ticket but lost to Gideon Mulyungi of Wiper.

3. John Munuve

The former Mwingi North MP also ditched Kalonzo’s Wiper party and joined Jubilee.

He however lost re-election in the last year’s general election.

4. Kisoi Munyao

The former Mbooni legislator also dumped Kalonzo’s Wiper Party in the run up to last year’s polls and joined Jubilee.

Munyao lost re-election in the August 8, 2017 general election.

The former politicians are now in the political cold with hopes that they will be rewarded for supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election in the October 26, 2017 repeat presidential election.

The politicians have since kept low political lives with a few often appearing on television panels for discussions on national matters.
