The veteran politician claims that Kalonzo is not the reason to why Raila and his allies postponed the swearing-in the government had termed treasonous.According to Kajembe, Raila was afraid of the consequence that would have come with his illegal swearing-in.Speaking to journalists in Mombasa Town on Wednesday, Kajembe said that Raila feared the treason charge whose punishment is death if he had gone on to declare himself president.Kajembe said the law would not have spared the former Prime Minister (PM) if he had gone ahead with the illegal swearing-in."It is good that  Raila and his and his allies realised that the law is supreme and postponed their illegal and unconstitutional swearing in," he said.Kajembe asked Raila to abandon the swearing-in thing completely, noting that it will bring him shame.The veteran politician said that the former Prime Minister has a reputation to keep urging him to keep off people misleading him.On Sunday, NASA called off the much publicised Raila's swearing-in to a later date.The opposition explained to its supporters that it could not go on with the swearing-in in absence of NASA deputy leader Kalonzo Musyoka who is in Germany attending to his ailing wife.NASA said that it has postponed the swearing-in to a date to be announced later , assuring its supporters that its agenda for electoral reforms is unstoppable.Political analysts observe that Raila postponed the swearing-in to create room for dialogue with president Uhuru Kenyatta's government.Raila insists that he does not recognize Uhuru Kenyatta's presidency and that he will be sworn-in by the people's assembly since he allegedly won the August 8 general election.
