The Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has unveiled a list of 22 prominent personalities to fill the gap of deputy governor left empty after the controversial resignation of Polycarp Igathe.

Among the top names of this list is the leader of the National Resistance Movement Miguna Miguna and the ex-deputy governor Polycarp Igathe.

Sonko has asked the Nairobians to help him choose among the 22 the best candidate for this powerful and influential post. “Great people of Nairobi, some say politics is about numbers. This FB page of mine has over 1,300,000 fans out of which 925,892 are Nairobians. I believe it is you the great people and God who has the powers of nominating leaders. Hence hebu munisaidie hapa (help me here) whom do you think deserves to be my Deputy Governor?” asked Sonko.
