A section of Gachuba residents have vowed to hold demonstrations come Monday due to the recent utterances of Interior CS Fred Matiang'i over construction of Gachuba dam.
According to the locals, Matiang'i has become too dictatorial instead of solving the issues by consulting them.
Led by area youth leader Elijah Nyamoi, the government has never bothered to do proper consultations over the project.
"Matiang'i has turned out to be our enemy after supporting him by fully supporting the project without the government looking at nor addressing the problems we're currently facing.
"We won't allow the project to go on as we will hold intensified demonstrations against the project and CS Fred Matiang'i," Nyamoi said.
Matiang'i though accused local leaders of inciting locals against the project which he termed to be positive to the locals.
