Gor Mahia has identified the fans who died on Sunday as they headed to Machakos Stadium for the match against Thika United.

Through their Facebook page, Gor Mahia identified the three as the club’s ardent fans, and were saddened with the Sunday accident. 

“The three Kogalo souls lost today are Kelvin Otieno Juma popularly known as "Reflector", Kennedy Omondi popularly known as "Omosh Wuod alego" and George Otieno,” revealed club Secretary General Ben Omondi. 

He added: “One of our fan, Evans is in critical condition and currently receiving treatment at Shalom Hospital in Mlolongo. All our thoughts and prayers go out to their friends, families and Dandora Sharp Corner Branch & Young Achievers branch” 

The club further sent condolences to the families of the fallen fans.

“Our heartfelt and sincere condolences to family, friends, relatives and the entire Gor Mahia family on the loss of three fans who were involved in a road accident along Mombasa road this afternoon enroute to Machakos Stadium,” 

“We would like to wish a quick and speedy recovery to the injured fans. We are Gor Mahia FC, one big united family and together we will rise up and be stronger,”

Gor won the match 5-2, and maintained their good run in the new season, which has seen them perch at the top of the KPL standings.
