The Chief executive officer Nancy Macharia said this was meant to solve the concern that had been raised by non-resident teachers in the county.

TSC noted that locals above 45 years, with original professional and academic documents and registered with TSC can apply for the vacancies.

“Teachers who are above 45 years can apply to be recruited on contractual terms. They will be recruited on a three year renewable contract subject to performance. Such teachers engaged on contract will not serve beyond the age of 65 years," Macharia stated.

The application deadline is 27th March.

Meanwhile, non-local teachers have been transferred from the county over attacks targeted on non-local teachers.

Most schools in the county remain closed due to lack of teachers who fled for the fear of their lives.
