Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has joined other leaders in mourning the death of Migori Senator Ben Oluoch Okello. The governor took to social media where he condoled with the family of the deceased.
“Saddened by the death of Migori Senator, Hon. Ben Oluoch Okello. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and the people of Migori. May his soul rest in eternal peace” he posted
Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho has also mourned the death of the Senator. He described his death a big loss to ODM and the entire nation.
"I convey my condolences to the people of Migori, his family, friends and the country at large. I wish the family God’s comfort during this difficult time. May the Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace," said Joho.
In his condolence message, Speaker of the Senate Kenneth Lusaka described the late as a person who was determined to change lives of many during his days.
“On behalf of the Senate and my family, I convey my heartfelt and deepest condolences to his family, friends and the people of the Great County of Migori,” said the Speaker. The ODM fraternity has promised to support the family following the demise of the senator. The family has continued to receive condolence messages from Kenyans following the departure of the lawmaker.
