A Maseno University student was lucky to win Sh20, 000 after Cristiano Ronaldo scored against Spain in the ongoing World cup which is being held in Russia.
The comrade, Leon Obuya who pursues a degree in Computer Science won the money after he placed a bet on the game between Portugal and Spain.
In his bet, Obuya placed his cash on the option "Cristiano Ronaldo to score". He won the cash easily as Ronaldo scored the first goal of the match at the 4th minute.
After the goal, the third year student celebrated loudly and vigorously attracting the attention of other fans.
Speaking after the win, the student noted that he placed the bet using Sh10,000 against an odd of 2.0. He further noted that he was really happy as he was now financially stable.
"I am a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal. I had a feeling that Ronaldo will score in the match between Portugal and Spain because he is a lethal striker. I risked my fees worth Sh10, 000 to bet Ronaldo to score which had an odd of 2. Ronaldo scoring made me a winner of Sh20,000. I am very happy," Leon Obuya said.
