He has been unable to place his house in order, with regards to President Kenyatta's recent calls for political leaders to shelve the 2022 presidential succession debate.

Ruto is yet to tame his allies who have gone ahead to publicly engage in politicking, with the latest one being Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen who, in the county on Sunday, bashed opposition leader Raila Odinga for allegedly sabotaging Ruto's 2022 presidential bid, in the presence of the DP.

This is a big embarrassment to the President who is now appearing like a powerless leader as despite being at the helm of the bloc, some of his juniors falling under his deputy are openly defying him.

Ruto's non-commitment to cool the growing enmity between himself and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi over last Thursday's botched meeting with retired President Daniel Moi is likely to further make Kenyatta reconsider his earlier vow to back him in 2022.

By silently watching as his lieutenants attack the lawmaker, he has brought his leadership qualities under question, as any Kenyan would expect him to follow Kenyatta's recent apology route and bring an end to the exchange.

His botched meeting is another embarrassment to the Presidency, as anyone would expect him as the second most powerful Kenyan to undertake all the required due diligence before embarking on a visit.

If he was blocked as his allies claim, it's also a demonstration that he could as well experience the same after enjoying Uhuru's endorsement and could soil his legacy upon ascending to the top seat.
