The Ford-Kenya party boss, who is yet to come to terms with his ejection as the Senate Minority Leader on Tuesday, has been indirectly trying to reclaim the position currently in the hands of his Siaya counterpart James Orengo, via the National Super Alliance (NASA) summit.

However, apparently, he is unlikely to succeed, with his assailants, the Orange Democratic Party (ODM) senators, maintaining that they will not reconsider the decision.

As a result, the NASA co-leader is seemingly on his last moments politically, a situation he is obviously seeking to overturn.

To save himself from the awaiting downfall, Wetangula should consider exiting the alliance, failure to which he will appear needy and independent, attracting more embarrassment and mistreatments from the ODM quarters.

He could as well prove the senators wrong by wearing a care-free mask, meaning that he stops going after the post and proceeds with his legislative responsibilities.

This will as well portray him as a humble leader in the eyes of the electorate, boosting his winning possibilities in future races.

Wetangula could also announce his Presidential bid for 2022 in advance. Though seemingly politically weak currently, with his party only boasting of a handful of elected members, this will be a good retaliation and will all of a sudden make him attractive as alliances emerge ahead of the 2022 presidential contest.

On the other hand, he could stick to his current plan and pressure the Orange Party chief Raila Odinga to keep pushing in a bid to soften his lieutenants' hearts.

However, one thing remains a must for him; he must work on his political muscles to avoid a similar victimizations in the future.
