Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has come out to have his say in the wake of his dismal rating in terms of service delivery revealing his main problem.
Making a public address for the first time since his shocking proposal to have Miguna Miguna as his deputy, Sonko said he does not have a problem with the president but with 'one person' who he does not name but describes as the leader of the cartels.“I have no problem with the government because if I start fighting with this government, it would be the same as fighting the President. I only have a problem with one person and you all know who it is. There is no way someone in government can predict the death of the Governor who was elected by people of Nairobi and in this case, a Jubilee Governor,” Said Sonko in the wake of his trailing with a dismal D+ rating in terms of service delivery.Sonko defended his proposal to have controversial lawyer Miguna Miguna as his Deputy saying he won't withdaraw the name while also taking a direct swipe at Senato Johnstone Sakaja saying the senator has no moral authority to lecture him on what to do.He says Miguna will effectively fight cartels and is a Kenyan citizen and that remains.He urged the government to work out his return and not mistreat him."I do not see the big mistake Miguna Miguna made even if I did not consult him," he said."I am the governor of Nairobi and it is constitutionally clear that I have the power to appoint a Deputy Governor," the governor said.Sonko said he was dumbfounded that some people in Jubilee were bashing his choice yet they keep on talking about cohesion and building bridges in political rallies.Moreover, Sonko raised questions why he is the only one whose security has been withdrawn. The whole thing just gets more and more intriguing. The ultimate is seemingly just too mouth watering.
