A man accused of stealing someone’s wife in Likoni on Friday told a Mombasa court when he was arraigned that he was tricked by the woman who cheated him that she was single.
The court heard that the man identified as Juma Ali met the woman when he frequently visited her home looking for a buyer for his land.
Ali said when the woman said he was not married he agreed to marry her.
The woman was married to Khamisi Mboga for than a decade and had four children together.
Senior resident magistrate Edgar Kagoni directed the two to settle the matter with their area chief and report to court on January 15, 2018 on the progress.
