According to Opore, his supporters will not allow him withdraw the case.

“Oyioka’s win was upheld by Kisii High Court on February 27, 2018. Since I and my supporters were dissatisfied with the decision we agreed to file an appeal at Kisumu Court of Appeal to challenge the whole judgment. Those urging me to withdraw the appeal should first persuade my supporters because they will not allow me to drop it,” Opore said.

Opore insisted that Oyioka was not elected validly because IEBC failed to conduct the polls 'fairly and transparently'.

“I will not succumb to the fake ruling that was given on February 27, 2018 by a Kisii High Court because the ruling sided with my opponent and the electoral agency. My decision to appeal is because I want justice to be done to the people of Bonchari,” he added.

He noted that Oyioka is trying to impose himself to the people of Bonchari who are not ready to be led by a 'clueless' politician.

“Constituents are not ready to suffer under Oyioka’s bad leadership. The electorates must be respected and given to the right leader who is me,” said Opore.
