Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti has said it won't be a walk in the park for Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua if electorates return to the ballot for a by-election as directed by the Court of Appeal.

Ndeti said it was high time Machakos got the leader it deserves.

She said Mutua had only brought the county pain and regrets and he should be ready to go home anytime.

"I hope the 'former' governor has shock absorbers since his failure in the by-elections is definite, Machakos people are tired and need change", Ndeti said.

She spoke at Athi River in Mavoko Sub County on Wednesday.

Ndeti said Machakos residents had learnt their lesson hence won't attempt to vote Mutua back since he had proved he doesn't have their best interests at heart.

The former Wiper gubernatorial candidate said she won the August 8, 2017 election and will prove the same if IEBC conducts a by-election for the position in the county.

"Mutua has lost touch with the electorates for taking them for a ride and will be in for a big shock in the by-elections," Ndeti said.

Machakos County has seen been in a political mood after the Court of Appeal's ruling fortnight ago.
