The IEBC has told a court that Governor Alfred Mutua won the August 8 gubernatorial election fair and square.This was during the hearing of a petition filed former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti who contends that she was rigged out of victory.Joyce Wamalwa who served as the County Returning Officer took the witness stand and said that she had no doubt that Mutua had won fairly.She rejected claims by Ms. Ndeti that there were significant irregularities and illegalities.''The results I declared at the tallying centre were the same ones I received from the various constituency tallying centres as submitted by the various returning officers.'' Ms. Joyce Wamalwa said.Wamalwa was listed as the third respondent in Wavinya's petition.The proceedings were adjourned by Judge Aggrey Muchelule who is hearing the case.
