Having raised from a humble background, he soldiered on to overcome the abject penury that had plugged his family at his tender age. 

Nevertheless, Buzeki is among the most influential Kalenjin politicians in the country, having vied unsuccessfully for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat against his arch political rival, Governor Jackson Mandago, in 2017.

Hawking 

Buzeki was once a hawker in Mombasa county. He hawked milk on a bicycle to deliver it at a different destination in the county in a view to source his daily bread.

 Regional dairy sales manager

 He was a regional dairy sales manager for Kilifi Plantations between 1998 and 2000. During this tenure, he led a formidable sales team that facilitated successful milk sales volumes record and cornering 80 percent of the milk market at the Coast.

Pioneering 

Courtesy of his persuasive power and enviable skills in the field, he pioneered the introduction of Tuzo Milk and became the largest milk distributor in Coast Province. 

Higher international diploma

Buzeki holds a higher international diploma in Sales and Marketing from Cambridge University. He also holds a degree in sales and marketing from the same university.

Independent candidate

He contested the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat unsuccessfully against the incumbent, Jackson Mandago as an independent candidate.  He garnered 82,869 votes against the incumbent who garnered 126, 681 votes.
