Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has warned county executives against laxity.Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony of three CeC nominees who were yet to assume office, Joho said his government will not tolerate officials who are not ready to deliver on their promises, as he seeks to transform the county’s economy in the next five years of his governance.He asked the CeCs to ensure that they solve the problems facing different sectors of the county's economy, failure to which he will send them packing. The three CeCs who took the oath of office are Seth Odongo (Devolution and Public Services), Hassan Bakari Mwamtoa (Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries) and Fauz Ali Rashid (Trade Tourism and Investment).“You shall be held accountable and we expect efficiency and transparency in your docket,” said Joho, as quoted by Standard.The county boss also reminded his new cabinet that failure to perform will derail his agenda, adding that the CeCs will be held accountable by the people of Mombasa.“If you fail to deliver services it means you are failing the people of Mombasa and that means you will go home,” said Joho.The governor also pledged to work with other leaders in the county to transform the coastal city.
