Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has urged Deputy President William Ruto to support NASA’s electoral reforms agenda.Joho said that DP Ruto is ‘being used and played by Jubilee party and will be dumped soon’.Speaking in Bamburi in Mombasa on Tuesday, Joho asked DP Ruto to forget about 2022 because he will not be supported by President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Mt Kenya region.The ODM deputy party leader asked Ruto to learn from past experiences and channel his support to Raila Odinga.“DP Ruto should join us and help in pushing for electoral reforms because he will soon be dumped by his party leader and the Mt Kenya region,” he said.The Governor said that the alleged mistrust being reported in Jubilee party over cabinet appointments made last week by Uhuru is a clear indication that DP Ruto’s future is uncertain.Joho, a critic of Ruto, said that it is time politicians of goodwill stood together and fought against impunity and electoral fraud in the country.He said that NASA’s push for electoral reforms seeks to set things straight in election management.The outspoken county boss said the reforms will be of help to Ruto and others eying the presidency in 2022 and beyond.Claims of bad blood and mistrust between Uhuru and DP Ruto continue to emerge over last week partial cabinet changes.DP Ruto has however denied the claims, urging Jubilee supporters to ignore propagandists.President Kenyatta is expected to make more changes in the coming days as he restructures the government in his second and final term.Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
